We are one of three builders worldwide licensed to build the International Etchells. 

Designed by Skip Etchells in 1966, the Etchells is a one-design keel boat. It has a fast, stable and sleek design that enables it to be sailed comfortably and competitively. The class operates on a strict one-design principle which is actively monitored by the Class Association. 

At Ontario Yachts we have built over 400 Etchells since 1976, as well as numerous other one design classes. These include the Snipe (William Crosby), Optimist (Clark Mills), Albacore (Uffa Fox), International 14 (Jay Cross/Robert Mazza), Ideal 18 and Sonar (Bruce Kirby).

The OY Etchells is constructed to strict class laminate specifications using the highest quality resins available and fabrics locally woven and manufactured to our specs here in Ontario, Canada.

Every boat is custom made and measured at our shop with our team hand molding and inspecting each part along the way.  We are proud that 3 of the last 5 World Champion boats have come from our factory.
